3 Days to Liftoff

I'm leaving Thursday morning! David will drive me to Seattle, I leave at 1pm from SEATAC for a 12 hour flight to Seoul, South Korea. My layover is 3 hours there and then it's a six hour flight to Chiang Mai, Thailand. It'll be 12.30am Saturday when I arrive, that'll be 15 hours into your future.

I've decided to pack just a carry on for ease of slipping out of the airport after such a long flight. I'm about finished packing and it feels good to go light. (I'll buy a duffel bag there for all my purchases and check it on the way back.)

I'm also taking my laptop so I could be available by email. I'll try to update my blog from time to time. I imagine I'll be spending the hot part of the day in my air-conditioned guest house room.

I'm staying at Tri Gong Residence (see pic at left), located inside the NE corner of the moat in the "Old City". The owner, Adam, seems so nice and speaks English!
