To give you an idea of the paradise David and I will be engrossing in, here are some pictures of the rentals we're staying in during our visit to Oahu and Kauai.
We'll be staying in Kailua, Oahu for three nights. We'll be 100 feet from the beach and in the same neighborhood my friend Easton lives. She is going to show us around and take us to her local haunts.

Then we'll meet up with David's parents in Honolulu. They are kindly letting us crash with them for a week in their luxurious condo they rented on Waikiki Beach. So awesome!! Look at this view from our lanai! That's Diamond Head! This beach is supposedly a zoo but I don't care, I'm ready to soak in the craziness, the sun and fun!
For the last four days of our trip David and I'll be in Kauai. This is our chance to relax and take in the paradise of the garden island. We're staying in Wainiha, Kauai. It's in the countryside in northern Kauai. The house is on stilts and I love it because it's in the jungle! Why is the house on stilts? The area gets a lot of rain (In fact, the mountain in the center of the island, Waialeale, is the "wettest spot on earth" with around 432 inches of rain per year.) and the stilts keep the houses off of the flood plain. Can you imagine how luscious this area is?

I envision myself hiking through a jungle splattered with huge, green tropical plants, where gigantic flowers droop down for my sniffing pleasure. Oh my god, I love you Hawaii and I've never even met you.
